Curse you Capcom!

So it looks to be true that the English language version of MH3 will not only be free to play online but will also have WiiSpeak functionality.

Once more, Curse you Capcom!

New Joe Event

...And damn, is it tough.

So for this quest you have to fight 2 joes in the arena. At the start there's only one, but then after 5 minutes the second one appears.

Ouch.

Still, with four of the tickets you get from this event you can make the Black Boots which have +2 on all elements. Unfortunately they can only be upgraded to level 10, giving them +40 defense. Shame.

Server shift?

So when I started playing online, there were 16 "free", 12 noob, 8 veteran and 16 "wanted".
After a few weeks this changed so that there were only 8 noobs servers.

Now there are 24 free, 4 noob and 6 veteran.

Is this Capcom shifting the servers around according to the way people are playing? Probably.

HR100!

Finally broke through into the upper echelons of Hunter-yness and got up to HR100!
Made a bunch of random armour to celebrate.

Finally!

Today I got the message I'd been waiting for: my old work colleague back in Japan had finally started playing online. We met up and killed a few things.

Ah what fun we had.

He's only HR15 and I'm 800 points of HR99 but we could still fight together on the "free" server (no HR restrictions).

Last quest done!

The only quest I hadn't completed was the 5 star Rioreusu "高難度"(difficult) quest.
Now it is done.

All missions completed!

BTW, my hunter is called "Kryss" and my online ID is "QKJBBD" so feel free to look me up if you're online.

And so it continues

News of the online mode in the English version being free hasn't stopped me from getting another ticket and carrying on playing.
I've taken to using a bowgun recently and must say I'm enjoying the group effort. It's nice to be the one doing the supporting rather than getting up close and painful.

HR95 now btw.
